50 Challenges

The 50 challenges which do also include interesting fun things as well!! - Phew, this is going to take some time!

1. Learn how to drive a bus and get a PCV licence!! COMPLETED 29th November 2016

2. Do the Jack the Ripper tour in London.

3. Take 50 selfies with or without some interesting people!!  Selfie Page

4. Break a Guinness World Record - I have a couple of records which have been accepted by Guinness and I am currently working out the logistics - they are related to travelling to countries and capital cities in Europe in 24 hours. See countries blog

5. Go to the top of the Shard, which is crazy as I have vertigo!! (As far as I am allowed!)  COMPLETED! 9th August 2015

6. Drive a train.

7. Do an April Fool joke, a really funny one  - an adaptation from a suggestion by Nathan Tree must be funny!) COMPLETED!! April 1st 2015 I convinced a guy he would be wearing a pink suit from Butlins to judge in at a competition!

8. Adopt an animal - suggested by Maria Contreras.  Now which animal to choose? Dolo the Lion from the Born Free Foundation is the lion for me!  COMPLETED!! 22nd January 2015

9. Appear in a police line-up - not all police stations do line ups any more so this will be a challenge.  

10. Take a Ferrari for a test drive  COMPLETED: 2nd October 2015!

11. Get a motorcycle licence, ride a Harley Davidson but own a Triumph!

12. Drink a really expensive bottle of champagne - this was done at my granddaughter's christening.  COMPLETED:6th June 2015

13. Get a metal detector and look for hidden treasure - a great excuse to go to the beach.

14. Do something involving a dangerous wild animal! - What on earth?? Why did I agree to this?  Oh dear it looks like it is going to involve crocodiles..... AHH!   COMPLETED!!  3rd January 2015

15. Choose 50 favourite songs   COMPLETED!! 27th June 2016 Songs page

16. Take the cable car over the Thames. COMPLETED! WITH AN EXTRA CHALLENGE of climbing the 02! 27th August 2015

17. Host a radio show.

18. Spend a whole day with each of my children. (This photo was taken in 2006!!) COMPLETED: 5th November 2015!

19. Make my own Birthday cake - suggested by my Step-Mum. COMPLETED!! 8th August 2015

20. Follow the trail of the Orient Express as a fan of Agatha Christie, but don't recreate the murder ! Follow the progress on the Orient Express page.

         

21. Make a piece of jewellery that I will actually wear.

22. Take a photo of me outside every house I have ever lived in - suggested by my daughter Chloe.

23. Publish a book of my own poetry.

24. Make a gingerbread cathedral, the Sagrada Familia to make it easy ha ha - suggested by my daughter Chloe.

25. Visit 50 places with silly/rude place names. Silly place names page

26. Have a night camping with my grandson for his first time in a tent! COMPLETED!! 10th August 2016!

27. Write down something I am grateful for at least once a week for the whole of 2015. COMPLETED!! 31st December 2015!

28. Do a wall collage.

29. Make a list of my 50 most favourite books.See books page

30. Go line dancing! - an adaptation of a suggestion by my daughter Sara.

31. Have my handwriting analysed and find out if I am who I say I am!

32. Sit on a lion in Trafalgar Square.

33. Go to a place with a lovely view and watch a sunrise.

34. Go to a place with a lovely view and watch a sunset.  COMPLETED!! 28th June 2015 At Blenheim Palace how lovely.

35. Write a short story book for my grandson.

36. Write a letter on nice paper to each of my closest friends and family telling them how much they mean to me. COMPLETED! 8th August 2015

37. Become an NLP practitioner. COMPLETED: March - became a full member of the ANLP JUNE 2016

38. Do one thing from my 'Bucket List'. COMPLETED: 5th January 2016 (Visited Auschwitz)

39. Visit somewhere haunted!! COMPLETED 4th June 2016 (Spent the night in the London Tombs!)

40. Do a time capsule.

41. Get sent 50  postcards from around the world showing a postmark. COMPLETED! 10th October 2016. See the postcards here.

42. Have coffee in Harrods!  COMPLETED! 11th July 2015

43. Learn how to fly an aeroplane.

44. Visit every country in Europe. See blog

45. Climb the 4 peaks of the UK - but not all in one day!! Snowdon, Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Slieve Donard.

46. Do a skydive (In tandem of course I am not doing it on my own!)

47. Be an extra in a movie.

48. Complete a Jigsaw puzzle with over 1000 pieces.

49. Go on a road trip for a month!

50. Take a course in hostage negotiation.
